Our manifesto
It’s complicated having a body. Especially a female one. Because the female reproductive system has a long, tangled history of poor health outcomes across the world. So when something’s wrong, it’s difficult to know where to start. The Cyclist is a community platform designed to provide a collective spark in addressing the issues people with female reproductive systems face. For such a fundamental part of humanity — it’s strange how easy it seems for people to look the other way when things get messy. Together, we have been through over 15 years of incorrect diagnoses and physical pain — as well as the emotional pain of just not knowing. Of not being seen, or sometimes worse, not being seen the way we needed to be. Sadly; our halting, difficult journey with fertility, endometriosis and reproductive health aren’t unique. Fortunately, we got the care we needed. But being fortunate can’t be a pre-requisite for care. It’s 2025. We wanted to create a space where you can be seen, heard and understood by people who are on that journey too. Whether you’re just starting to come to terms with just how complicated your body can be, or if you’re in the weeds and need some help finding the way through. We’re backed by an advisory board of women’s health specialists who help us provide access to credible information, useful tools and practical tips. This is a community for you, by people like you. Because we want to help you understand your own body. So you can feel confident being seen how you are, as you are and when you’re ready. All in a place you feel safe to do so. The Cyclist is a space for our time, our bodies and our journeys. We’re here for you and we’re here for each other.
